“Nylon String Thing” is a CD with a combination of originals and cover songs such as Steve Miller’s “Fly Like An Eagle”, Steely Dan’s “Josie”, and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”, all done in a sort of smooth jazz sound, seasoned with some tasty flute and horns.
“Christmas On Guitar” is a mixture of solo guitar rather on the classical side, with some light jazz versions of the likes of ‘Joy To The World” and “Angels We Have Heard On High”.
The CD’s are in about a dozen local Detroit area stores, but the easiest way to hear and purchase is right here..
With
an impressive approach to Acoustic Jazz/Pop/Classical/Finger Style Guitar,
Brad Dase has played for thousands of people in the Detroit area at
weddings, clubs, and events.
Engagements in the Detroit area have included
MacKinnons, Jacobsons, Park West Gallery, Rhinoceros Club, Longacre House, Tuscan Cafe, Grand Cafe, Envoy, Bogies on the Lake.
Brad’s playing style includes a smooth sounding guitar feel playing solo and/or with band tracks, depending on the occasion. His style appears to please all age groups, and is perfect for a quality entertainment experience, from weddings to parties and other events.
As a solo artist, Brad will play complete solo/accompaniment on his guitar, or will play with tracks, many that he created for a Smooth Jazz, and Pop sound. “As a student of the classical guitar, I always wanted to combine classical, folk, jazz, and pop for a more modern sounding finger style guitar” says Brad, who studied with well known Detroit teachers Jack Pitt, and Jack Moncrief, as well as attending seminars in Los Angeles with Howard Roberts (Guitar Institute of Technology), and the jazz great Joe Pass. One of Brad’s songs “You’re My Lady”, was published by Ronnie Reno, then rhythm guitarist for Merle Haggard, and was performed at the Palomino Club in North Hollywood.
